Life's Transitions
When clinicians discuss life’s transitions, they mean the periods of adjustment that come with significant changes like marriage, divorce, parenthood, career shifts, empty nesting, loss, the death of a beloved pet, or the end of a long-term relationship.
Even though life is always evolving, adjusting to these major events can be challenging. It's perfectly normal to struggle during these times. It's okay to seek help and to talk about your experiences—repeatedly if needed. I'm here to listen, and I'm here for you every step of the way.
You might find yourself grappling to understand what's happening or unsure about the next steps to take. Sometimes, individuals come to me after experiencing their first panic attack. Our bodies often react strongly to change, affecting our physical and mental well-being, despite our efforts to control it.
However, did you know that these significant life events can also lead to a healthy revaluation of your priorities, a chance to reclaim your independence and responsibility, and an opportunity to discover more about who you truly are?
If you're going through a life transition and finding it tough to cope, I would be more than happy to support you. Together, we can navigate these changes and help you find your way forward with clarity and resilience.
